    Browser compatability problem

    G'day,

If you go to this site in IE, you will see what it is supposed to look like.

    http://ils2500.brinkster.net/head.asp

If you go to the same URL with Netscape 7.2 or FireFox, the right graphic doesn't appear UNTIL you reload the page.

    Can you tell me why?

    Peter

    Hi,
FireFox doesn't like marquees because it's not considered a valid W3C tag.

    Download this FireFox extension: http://www.chrispederick.com/work/firefox/webdeveloper/

It will give you all kinds of excellent debugging tools. You'll need to restart FireFox, then you can go to any page, click on the Tools menu, then Web Developer, and View Source and it will highlight every tag that FireFox doesn't like.

    Hope that helps : )

    G'day,
Oops! I didn't realise it was self installing with FireFox - I downloaded it with IE.

It's only self-installing if you have "Allow Websites to Install Software" enabled.

And just make sure your code all validates and doesn't include IE-only portions and it should work just fine in just about everything else--including Firefox.
