Do not use session_register, use $_SESSION array instead.
Don't forget to call session_start() on each page before any output.
Make sure session cookies are enabled in browser.

    php sessions

i used $_SESSION array to register..and also placed session_start() at the beginning of the page..so that it resumes the session..
regarding the last option how can we enable sessions in the browser..

I think hes trying to say make sure the browsers security is not set up to block all cookies since session still stores information in a cookie on the client side.
