    Here is my 1 month old site http://www.certifypro.com again it's netscape problem, but this time it has nothing to do with design layout. In fact this time is worst!! If you use netscape and try to click Add to Cart or try to login to member's ares nothing happen??

    I forward this problem to the web consultants but they is its a netscape incompatibility and its not their lack of technical expertise. Now the problem is that they want to charge me again to developed a mirror for netscape browsers?? Is that the proper way web developers do things??

    Scripting gurus I need your expertise.

    That is a load of bull, for the add to cart deal, they use

    <a onClick="set_name()">

    by changing this to

    <a href="javascript:void(0)" onClick="set_name()">

    Would solve the netscape issue. So yes it is a "their lack of technical expertise" as they put it.

    And again
    <img src="\images\lok.gif" onClick="gologin()">

    could be changed to

    <a href="javascript:void(0)" onClick="gologin()"><img src="\images\lok.gif"></a>

    This again would solve the netscape issue.

    Sounds like your so called "web consultants" are just that consultants for it appears they think in theory and lack basic html knowledge.

    I can't believe a web consultant could say this. Drop them like a hot potato. I am a director of a web dev company and can say with absolute certainty that it is a lack of expertise on thier part.

    the problem is as follows the <a> tag has no href attribute set.
    Code:
    ... <A onclick=set_name()>Add to Cart!</A> ...
    this will make the add to cart button work:
    Code:
    ... <A href="javascript:set_name();">Add to Cart!</A> ...

    or

    ... <A href="#" onclick="set_name()">Add to Cart!</A> ...
    However i cannot say with any certainty that the system will work properly in netscape.

    LOL Drinky, as soon as I saw that the "web consultant" went on the defensive about his own skills I knew he was feeding bs, sure enough after I saw the code, I was like I can't belive someone would charge money for those kind of answers. I agree drop these so-called "web consultants" ASAP for your peace of mind.

    Thanks guys.. I'm currently testing to see if I can patch it myself.

    By the way how do I make this command compatible with netscape?

    <a name="download" onClick="download('<%response.write rs2("module_id")%>')">Download</a><br>

    Looks like vbscript which I lack any experience in but adding a href="javascript:void(0)" into your a tags should make them compatible with Netscape.

    it is vbscript freddy, but ASP vbscript (so server side), that statement is the same as:
    <a name="download" onClick="download('<?php echo $obj->variable; ?>')">Download</a>

    client side vbscript is of-course IE only.

    you could always just do

    <%=rs2("module_id")%>

    instead of

    <%response.write rs2("module_id")%>

    Been a while since i did ASP but i think the response statement should go like this:
    <%response.write(rs2("module_id"))%>
    since write is a method of the response object which takes a variant string/number as a parameter.
