What linux os is there that you can use to browse the web with with the best security and least amount of resources?

I have an old 500 mghz laptop with 128 mbs of ram, and 4 gbs of disk space.

All I want to do with it is browse the web to check my web based email and use cpanel to edit my text based webpage.

FreeBSD, not linux but simple and secure. Debian maybe? Gentoo? Slackware? There are a ton of options that will run on that configuration.

what requirements does freebsd have?

I'm not sure, but it should run just fine on that setup.
