    Aaaaarrgghhh!!!

Wile testing a script, I just sent myself (and two of my friends, hehe) an infinite loop of emails, and didn't notice. I woke up this morning and used all remining space on my webhosting account , over 45,600 emails!
My friends are really going to be pissed at me

I hope your friends aren't on a major ISP. You might have blacklisted yourself.

I did the exact same thing (it's in the worst coding mistakes). I had to delete them via webmail - i couldn't be bothered to contact my host to tell them to delete them. I already got them to kill the script (background infinite loop ). I set the emails per to like 10000000 and then when they all showed up, did 'Select All' - took like a minute and deleted (took a long long time).

Haha. I was using this free support desk thing a few years ago (Yeah, wasn't my choice to use this software, I wanted to buy something else, but it wasn't my decision). So I'm sitting there, it looks cool, everything looks great. It's configured now... to wait for people to send e-mails. I'm looking through it "Oh, cool, there's e-mail notificatoin!" So I set it on. I give it my e-mail address. I go to bed. I wake up the next morning - the stupid thing was scanning my e-mail address too! So it'd send a notification, then send a notification about the notification. 250,000 e-mails later...

Really? I get about 10-20 [real] e-mails a day. I get 3 or 4 spam messages a day, but Thunderbird takes care of that. Actually most of my spam is from eBay (as far as I can they're legit e-mails), or Cafepress (again, real), but I have Thunderbird to block it because it's easier than me logging in and changing my settings

Me neither. I would have been very happy to suddenly find more than 45,000 emails .

I've gotten 15 emails this month. That's above average.
