    Hello,
Sure, it's good to use them, but I have 3 questions:

    1. Which template is the most popular - phplib template or FastTemplate? One book said it's the FastTemplate - is it true?

    2. I went to the bookstore and browse several php books. Most authors do not use templates in their books. Why don't they? Do they think because of the some overheads, so they don't want to include them in large projects?

    3. Do most of you use the templates in your projects?

    John

I use templates in almost all of my projects, and I always use PHPLIB, I do so for two reasons. One because I find PHPLIB much easier to use than FastTemplate, and two because I use some other classes from PHPLIB, so the two tie nicely together. Many authors probably don't include them in their books because either they don't know how to use them properly or they think the reader is not advanced enough to use them.
Please don't PM me with questions.
Use the forums, that is what they are here for.

Iv'e read various things stating that phpLib is more efficient than FastTemplate. This is because FastTemplate is a port of a Perl system to PHP while the phpLib template class was written from scratch with PHP in mind.

I've used phpLib's templating system and it's excellent.

I used both and I find phpLib template system more close to me. You dont have to use all class from phpLib but template and database classes are nice to use(even though I wrote my own database class by adding a functionality to phpLib dbclass)
