Which Ram to buy with my Dell?

    Do i get:

    1) 1024MB PC-4200 Dual Channel DDR2 533MHz [4x256]

    or

    2) 1024MB Dual Channel DDR2 400MHz [2x512]

Number one is slighlty faster. Wether it makes a difference compared to 400Mhz, i dont know. Number two allows two more slots for extra RAM and Number 1 there is no room to upgrade.

    So which do i get?

I am sure there are arguments for the performance of the RAM itself - however - I would simply opt for the 2 512's so as to leave open two additional slots for RAM in the future.

Buy as little as possible and then go order it from Crucial (.com). Crucial is high quality at a reasonable price. If your buying a Dell make sure to get the three year warrantee because quality has taken a nosedive.

The two can be debated in speed, but I would perfer having an extra slot. Some of the new computers are coming with 1gig of ram as standard. So, I would want the upgrade option for the future.
