postgres install windows

I've just installed postgres8.0 on windows, everything seems to working ok, I am able to use pgAdmin. The only problem I am having is trying to run it using the dos prompt. When I run the pgadmin.exe it asks only for the password, when enter the password it returns incorrect for the username I have set up for windows rather than the username for postgres. Is there anywhere I can enter username and password?

i had this same problem, and that's exactly why i uninstalled it. i made the password real easy for me, and it still wouldn't grant me access to my account, so i removed it. till they fix this bug, i suggest you try postgre on a linux machine.
