    I opened a project for the site similar to trademe.co.nz a couple of months ago at scriptlance.com and the lowest bidder was cost $550. A programmer friend of mine from India told me that scripts similar to that costs between $1200 to $2500. Is it really true? I have no idea about script pricing because I am not doing any commercial scripts but sounds very expensive..

    If you want a good, custom made job, you have to fork out $$$$. Simple as that. Sure you will get some kid claiming he could do it for a coupla hundred bucks, but in reality the stuff takes time. A reputable company would charge around $80.00 per hour I guess, but at least you'll know it's in safe hands.

    Keep in mind there probably are free scripts around that do a similar job as your links.

    The problem with getting kids to do the work for you is that inexpierienced kids generally work cheap, but the ones that know what they're doing also know what they're worth, and will generally charge likewise.

    Kids = Holes
    Holes = No Data Security
    No Data Security = Loss of Data
    Loss of Data = You paying even more then you would have for a proper script.
