    Apple's Next Product

    What will it be?

I'm going with iFetus. It'll be like a copy machine, only babies come out.

I guess it is possible, but I think they would call it something else, like an iScreen or iDisplay

Do you think Apple will release a home entertainment/digital media PC? They could call it the iCube.

They probably want to stay away from Cube in the name because of their last product with that name.

Though iceCube would be a cool name.

I don't think the rap community would be too thrilled.

Don't think those images are entirely accurate. I don't think Bill Gates could be considered and Apple hater when Apple is responsible for a measurable portion of Microsoft's income. Plus Microsoft is a investor in Apple, having bailed them out of bankruptcy before.

(and yes, I know its a joke. But a little more research could have gone into it).

I don't think Apple's ever made a PC... they've stuck to their own formats.

Microsoft sells a very profitable software package for the Macintosh called Microsoft Office. Office (on Windows and Mac) accounts for something like 40% of Microsoft's total profit.

Oh. I don't pay much attention to MacIntoshes. Thought I remember hearing in the news about Microsoft discontinuing something for the Macintosh. I also figured the Macintosh crowd might prefer something like Star/Open Office, or have their own custom software they could form a cult around (like Safari).

I also think Microsoft would prefer to have people run Windows and Office, rather than just Office. I'd say there's definitely competition to get people to switch from Macs to Windows.

Have to say that the MS Office package on the mac is my preferred. The OSx standard isn't as friendly, and I actually prefer Mac office to PC office (floating pallette interface and that sort of malarky).

Anyway, Apples next big product? No brainer: iScreen portable compressed video player (listen to and watch all your favourite movies with sexy white headphones...).

Saying that, they're lagging behind iRiver severely....but the beautiful people won't care (or know...)
