Special Charcters

Hi,

I need to use a special character within an SQL statement that has no affect within that statment.

Does the @ sign have any function within SQL?


I basically looking for a statement section similar to this

AND field LIKE '%@word@%'

Where I would find all the rows where field contained @word@.

Does this make sense and is it ok to use?

Hi,

Yes, that's OK. You can use any characters you want inside a string, and when using LIKE, only the percentage character (%) have a special function (if I'm wrong, please correct me ).
