    Cookies

    Basic question about cookies:

If someone has a web site and is using cpanel and designs a very simple site
and does not want cookies set ( so that visitors do not receive cookies from the site):

1-do cookies have to be disabled or prevented somehow? or
2-are cookies only set if specific code for cookies is added to the site?

    Thanks

    Hello

If you want to disbale cookies for other sites you visit, you can control how and which ones are allowd via your browser. At least in Firefox you can, I am assuming you can control cookies in IE also.

Yeah, cookies are created with javascript. If you are the site owner and do not want to store cookies on visitors machines then you have to remove the script that adds the cookies.

Here is a google search for info on cookies
