Help with network connection - firewall?

    Hey Guys,

I just got to my dorm room and got everything is setup perfectly. I hook my computer up, login to the internet and notice I can't download via P2P, can't connect to my server via FTP and can't play cs:s!

I'm thinking they've got a firewall setup here, so how can I get through to my stuff?

    THanks,
    -Ty

Most universities now have it set up so you cannot do any of that stuff in your dorm. have fun bypassing it...its possible but you'll probably get kicked out of school. :-)

Figure out what port CS:S plays through and ask the network admin to open up that port.
I doubt you'll get him to open the ones for P2P & FTP.
