    Curious behaviour!

Dunno if this is a feature or what, but in FF1.0, if I go to www.google.com, it auto redirects me to www.google.co.uk. Which is OK cos I'm in the UK. But it's very odd! Anyone else seen this behaviour?

It is doing it for me in IE6, too. I thought I saw that earlier today, but didn't think any more of it.

As long as they don't preset the radiobutton to only search for pages for the locality, I guess there is no problem.

Been doing this for me for quite some time now...well over a year.

Wasn't there a thread about this recently?

ya, there was a thread about it shortly after FF 1.0 came out.
Google automatically redirects you to a "local" domain, in which it may filter content.

The original post was in the general chat forum, look it up.
