    Near(ish) miss

I was just staring out of my window and could see two passenger jets up in the sky on what seemed like a collision course. Then one of them veered a bit, and still seemed like they were heading for each other. I know it's actually just my own vantage point, and that if you were to see them from another angle they were probably separated by a whole load of sky. I took a couple of pics, attached, thought you might like to see...

Lol. You never know, it could have been a near miss. Probably several miles between them though

You sure there wasn't an air show going on outside your house?

I'm sure they were passenger jets. There is regular traffic in the skies above me because, in very general terms, London and the US is West of me, and Europe is East.

Passenger jets don't leave contrails like that.
That and I doubt airliners could fly at that steep an angle.

Passneger jets do have contrails like that, at least here (when they're climbing, especially, from what I've seen). That's not very steap - it's just the perspective. They're either coming towards him, or going away, either way, it's not climbing really high/fast at all.

Well, the only contrails like that I've seen are from fighter jets.
I'm just 10 miles from logan airpot, and there's another small airport a few miles away in Beverly, and 2 military bases within 50 miles, so I've seen a bunch.

I'll agree with you on the angle though.

The contrails have more to do with the weather then the jets themselves.

I've seen some around Boston every now and then, if the weather is right.
