    Question Register Globals

    My server has register globals turned off be default, is there a way i can overide this locally?

    In case you are using Apache you can set it via .htaccess. But why do you want to do that? In general it is not advisable, but you should use the appropriate autoglobal arrays.

    Register Globals

    Thx, I'm using OScommerce and it requires that globals are turned on for the install. I'll turn it off after.

    I'm a windows monkey, just started using linux. Does anyone know where i can find out more about writing .htaccess files or more about Apache.

    It doesnt have anything to do with the operating system, but only with the webserver. Which one are you using?
