    iNstalling PHP

Using the book Build Your Own Database Driven Websites, I got stuck in some areas mainly installling PHP. In chapter 1 page 8-9 it talks about configuring IIS. I followed the instructions to my best ability. Like all other books some things were assumed that the user has previous knowledge.
Anyway, followed the instructions. After step 7 on page 9 restarting IIS I got a warning message to come up saying
PHP Startup: Unable to load up dynamic library 'C:\PHP\ext\php_mysql.dll'
-The specified module could not be found

So, I went to C:\PHP\ext folder and php_mysql.dll was there.

Will that error message prevent me from testing locally.

i would like to see a result of this problem because i got the same kind of error when i tried to use PHP as a module on WinXP when it complained
Unable to load up dynamic library 'C:\PHP\sapi\php4apache.dll'
-The specified module could not be found

i was surprised. couldn't find the error so right now i am using PHP as CGI(just wanted it work so din't give it much thoughts).
