Automatic Backup without passthru() or exec()

Hi,

I´m searching for a solution to backup hole databases automatically. I have webspace with PHP but with some limitations:

Warning: passthru,shell_exec,popen,escapeshellcmd,proc_open,proc_nice() has been disabled for security reasons in /www/htdocs/... on line 18 

I don´t have ssh too.

Any ideas?

Hmm, the only thing I can think of is phpmyadmin?

No, I want to use a Cron job to backup every day. My script should send me a dump per email and put a second in a dir on my webspace.

But I will look at the code they have written. Maybe they didn´t use the functions I´m not allowed to use.

The second option I have is not to backup the hole database at once. I could read out every table and put the data in a file. But I don´t like this because it´s not very reusable. For every new project I have to write the table names in my script.
