Talking Maybe I'm not so bad...

If you ever have a moment's doubt in your abilities as a web designer/developer, go to this website and smile. Tell yourself that this guy is out there getting paid in the south west of England, where the Dartmoor Panther prowls the moors and the wind howls through the valleys. Apparently tractor dealers and animal rescue charities are very happy with his work - and he makes anyone look good!!

He's doing a "website" (read: crime against humanity) for a friend's colleague who's just realised how bad the guy he hired really is. Hehehe...

I was all ready to say, Hey lay off the guy, we all have to start somewhere! but I decided that after (painfully) viewing his site and portfolio that I am quite happy to agree with you!

OMG! Someone please send him a tutorial on photoshop, web design, layout, flash, colour use etc......!

(I do hope he is not a member here and we have just narked him right off! If you are I humbly apologise!)

Exactly - I had second thoughts after I posted this... I thought "am I really that nasty?", but I don't do this normally - and it is an absolute classic! I mean, really! I've never seen anything quite like it!

What you have to ask yourself is, "Are any of my early sites being disucussed on a forum somewhere?!!!"

Hehe... the only one I'm truly ashamed of was a personal site on Geocities and yes, it was being discussed, here:

    What can I say - I've moved on. I can take it - I know it's awful.

hey we all have to start somewhere I looked out some past pages for an old site of mine - that has changed 2 or 3 times per year. The client and I remembered them looking pretty good (at the time) but now when we look at them just shows the more you learn you more you can critize

Cool. A mate of mine used to be a junior manager in Grantham Morrisons. And I had the worst summer job ever working for a tractor tyre company there.

If you actually check a couple of the sites he links to (i.e the tractor ones) then it seems he actually does do Flash. He's not 2advanced or anything but still. I think you guys are being just a little harsh! Yeh his own site is a sack of ****, but some of those sites ain't bad, really... we all had to start somewhere... even greg...

    Edit:
