Free Blog Scripts.

So I've been looking around for some free blog scripts and was wondering if anyone might have some suggestions/reccomendations. I used to use Blogger then moved to LiveJournal. I'm basically looking for a basic script nothing fancy. The main thing is that it be free and that i can place it on the server im using now. Thanks.

I don't have much experiences with these things

But I think there is once callled WordPress something,

most of my friends are using it

and they like it? i'll have to check it out.
i know LiveJournal and Blogger are free but have noticed some blogs running PHP scripts that seem to offer more int he way of customization. i will definitely check out WordPress. Thanks for the suggestion.

WordPress download

WP is some very nice software. I use it to run two blogs and it's one of the best packages out right now.

Yeah, so far from what i've seen i think im going to go with WordPress. I went through the free demo and it appears to have everything i'm looking for. hard to believe it's free with all the features they offer.
