what do i do next?

I have downloaded mysql 4.0.14 on my machine and intend to practice with it. I have unzipped it and what do i do to start creating the databases. I have scratched my head enough.

1) Step one, remove it and download version 4.1 which is the newest released production version. There are a number of changes including subqueries that have been added to this version

2) Step two, check out the manual for set up info on your specific system and more importantly check out the tutorial area of the manual. It is quite in depth but not difficult to understand.

3) Step three, welcome to the "club" hope you enjoy. Feel free to post questions when you have them but make sure you see if something similar has been posted and answered first. ;-)
