I was hoping someone here may be able to help me out with this. I am looking at the Search.php script on PhpBB. If someone could enlighten me to what this string is doing, I would greatly appreciate it:

$multibyte_charset = 'utf-8, big5, shift_jis, euc-kr, gb2312';
