    programming the xbox?

Does anyone here know what language games for the xbox can be programmed in, I have heard both assembly (which is bad) and c++ (which is good). I've wanted to create an xbox game since I got one (for christmas!) but I wouldn't want to learn assembly for it.

C/C++ is the language you want to use....
You will need to have a mod chip in order to run any programs that you write, because the XBOX will not (natively) play burnt (unsigned) DVD's (microsoft signs the program with their private key and the XBOX xhecks for this when it loads the DVD)

Check out OpenXDK it is a must have for any XBOX programming.

I am also looking into programming on the xbox, not so much 3D games at this point but just making something run on the platform...
