Question div (layer) oddity with IE

    Hello all. Happy New Year.

I have an odd problem that only shows up in IE (of course). Check out the following page: http://territorioverde.com/prods.php?id=11&cat=4
And put your mouse over the guy climbing icon (4th one from the right).

If you do it in IE you will see that the dropdown menu above is visible through the menu that pops up. This only happens in IE. I have checked my page against the w3c validator and I only got inocuous errors like missing alt tags and what not, which I am sure are not causing this. It doesn't happen in any other browsers.

Any ideas at all. I don't think I've seen this before.

    PS
The popup menu is generated by javascript by Dreamweaver. I didn't write it. I even tried giving the nav div a z-index of 20, but to no avail

    Hi,

This question has been asked many times before and is a major problem where drop-downs are concerned. Ie treats some elements as windowed elements and will draw them on top of all other html elements.

See This thread for a similar question and answer.

The usual solution is to use js to hide the select when the menu pops up and then re-show it when the menu goes down. If you are using DW you can probably put the select in a layer and use one of dw's hide and show routines.

There are other solution that involve putting an iframe over the select.

However in your case I'd just say move the select out of the way
