Amazon is doing it's part to help...11mil worth

    Take a look at this:
    http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/ts/...432642-9572132

It's nice to see. Last time I checked it, it was around 9million, not it's at 11.

200 years? In 200 years everything is possible so I agree with them

Some said an earthquake should've striked my country yesterday morning between 5 and 10AM, it never did . These guys think they are so precise.

Anyway, regarding the tsunami strike, a quote from some MSDN blog:

When I came in to work this AM, I had an e-mail from Steve Ballmer in my inbox. OK, so he sent it to all of us, but still. Microsoft is providing $3.5 million in tsunami relief (including our matching gifts program, which matches charitable donations by employees dollar for dollar up to $12K per employee). I can't tell you how proud I am to work here sometimes.

    Good for them!
I have a feeling that playboy inc. won't be donating anything.

Good on Sitepoint for also adding a link too Not sure how effective it is, but it's nice to see more people putting donation links instead of their own ads.

If you are a taxpayer you should donate in Sterling and make sure you let them claim the Tax. This way, they can claim an extra 28p for every pound you donate. So, a donation of 50 would actually be 64 without you paying any extra, as you have already paid that Tax

Looks like they are just taking donations from customers and passing them on to Red Cross, rather than actually donating themselves...

Yeah, it's constantly on the change. $13,326,833.48 now.

And yeah, Amazon's collecting - though I'd assume they'd donate as well, for the tax benefits.

Keep in mind it's going up because more customers are donating. This is not an Amazon donation; this is customers donating money through Amazon, to be passed on to Red Cross

Even so, Amazon is providing the technology that makes it possible for millions of people to donate around the world with the click of a button... That's a large contribution in and of itself. Surely Amazon has donated money as well...

Doesn't the Red Cross pay its CEO a multimillion dollar salary?

I've heard from a few people that they are not that great so I donated to World Vision instead.
