Hello
I am after a short scale bass guitar, up to now I have only find the Squir Bronco and had a go on it but I think it is a little bit plasticy. Any bass guitar players out there know of any other models?

I've been playing bass since fourth grade, and I have never used a short scale- but someone else may be of more help to ya (if there is another bass player here- everyone plays guitar nowadays!)
I love playing bass. I've only been playing for about a year, but I love it. It's easier for me to play blues on the bass than it is on guitar
Oh, and I suggest going with a full scale. It'll be worth your while to learn on the standard size. Learning on a short scale bass would only cause problems (unless you are searching for someone who is small and can't play a full scale bass. But if you are intent on a short scale bass, how about these? (not recommendation, as I've never played a short scale bass):

Ooh, didn't know Daisy Rock did basses. Not too bad sounding guitars and they do look kinda funky![]()

Well, at this point, if short scale isn't going to work out, you could try a full-scale. My favorite is my ibanez, have to go check the model- it is a sexy instrument.Originally Posted by Nicky D

i don't know much about basses, but i do know guitars. i'd say check out the fender standard series. squire guitars are pieces of crap, but the standard series fenders are pretty darn good and don't cost much at all.
as far as i can tell the only differences between my std strat and the american strat are:
1. pickups - the std pickups buzz a little more
2. wood - the americans are ash or alder, std is poplar which is softer (although i believe the new standard series guitars are now alder, just like the americans
3. PRICE!!!!!
the standard series really are amazing instruments for the money.

I am having a short scale and that's that, I already have a full scale.
I played one a while back and didn't know what it was, but I think I may have found it:
