    XML Query

    Hi all,

I have a basic understanding of XML. I was looking at the tutorial here...

    http://www.sitepoint.com/article/introduction-xml

How do I connect the XML file to the database so it can automatically read what is in the Database or do I use a DB at all?

Also how do I get the XML details to appear in the main page i.e. the PHP file?

Does anyone know where I can find a complete example on what Harry was doing here? i.e. using php and xml to create emails

    Thanks for your help.

    Kevin.

Basically, you'll want to use PHP (or any server-side language) to generate the XML on the fly, based on the data it gets from the database. More info on that here: http://www.kellishaver.com/Articles/2

I've also written a very basic function for parsing XML files here: http://www.kellishaver.com/Articles/4 - It's very rudimentary, but should give you an idea of using XPath with PHP5. You can find a better explanation of that here: http://www.isolated-designs.net/core...xpath-in-php-5
