    XML Beginners Book

    Hi all,

I would like to quickly become an expert at XML. I have little understanding at present.

Please could you recommend any books that would provide me with a thorough understanding of XML and quickly take me from beginner to expert.

    Thank you.

    Kevin.

XML Pocket Consultant ISBN: 0-7356-1183-1 is very good. You will, however, need an exceedingly large pocket if you intend to use it as the title suggests.

Wrox's "Beginning XML, 3th Edition" is also excellent!

    Hi all,

I'm looking to start out in XML as well. I have loaned a few books, but some seem to jump from pillar to post, leaving me in the dark. Do you know of any really good sites/online tutorials that I can use to get started?

    Cheers

(Sorry for piggy backing, but thought it may help "obrienkev" as well)

Yeah they are really good. Was just looking for a few more to broaden the scope, particularly XSL and schema's.

On the subject of XML books, I don't recommened "XML for the world wide web - VIsual quickstart quide by E.Castro". I have had to go back to the drawing board many times due to gaps in the work material and suggestions.
