    Resolution for different users

My parents new computer just came in today (windows XP home). I've never dealt with multiple users on a single computer, but I am making it so mom and dad can each have their own place on the computer.

I tried setting the resolution when logged in as one user then switched over to the other user and the resolution had switched to the one set for the previous user

Am I asking too much that windows allow a different resolution for each user or am I just missing something

    Thanks

    Jason

    Hello

    I found this:

Q: How come different users can't have different screen resolutions? I like the multi-user feature, but would like to set different resolutions for each user.
A: Sorry, that's impossible in Windows XP. Each user must have the same resolution, though just about everything else is customizable on a user-by-user basis.

    Hope it answers the question

    The short:
"This behavior is by design." - There is no native way (or even a workaround) available.

    The Long:
You could get a program that changes it as part of a logon script or something similar. Google it. Here is one example:

thanks for the reply. I guess its too much to ask that MS let someone fully customize their desktops
