I don't think there are tips. You just need to have enough traffic.

I don't quite agree, traffic is important but ad placement and integration are also key.

I agree with Helioaug... the more traffic you get, the higher earnings. It is logical, since you have more people clicking your ads.

Good content which means value to your users, many Google friendly pages, high functionality (easy to use and navigate).
If you give people what they are looking for you will get something back.

    Traffic > Location
Although location is still very important. I only recieve 500ish a month, so I dont believe I have authority in this manner.

    - Build a well designed site with content that is valuable to advertisers.
    - Promote that site to maximize traffic to it (more traffic is better)
    - Experiment with Adsense ads in different positions on the site, try different colors & try blending the ads into your background. Keep track of results to find out which color & position combination works best for your site.
    - Once you find the best combination of colors / position - use that setup & run with it.

Another thing to consider is that many of the Adsense publishers that earn $1,000+ per month simply added the Adsense code to their sites and immediately started earning at that level or higher. Many people / companies represented here already had well established websites years before Adsense came about. Some of us were even established a number of years before Google was started in 1998.

Adsense Revenue = Traffic Levels + High Paying Ads + Relevant Ads + Optimally Positioned and Designed Ads

If you increase any of these factors you'll help increase your overall earnings. If you increase more than one (or all of them) you should see an exponential increase in ads.

So yes - more sites could help because it could increase the chances of traffic...but don't just work on one feature - work on them all as you may only do as well as your worst part of the equation above.

ie if you have High Paying Ads + Relevant Ads + Optimally Positioned and Designed Ads but don't have traffic you'll never earn much.....or if you have High Traffic + High Paying Ads + Relevant Ads but have poorly Positioned and Designed Ads you will limit your earnings.

I write about this at Adsense - an Equation for Success

    Works for me anyway

i have no experience with searchfeed - I've not had any need to find an alternative to adsense as it works out very well for me.

You will need targeted traffic and a topic with high $$$ payout on Adsense to be successful. An easy way to find out expensive ad keywords is to play with Adwords yourself. But in general it is easier to make a content website if you are associated to a topic (either from profession or hobby).
