    How does CPM calculated?

    Hi there,

I'm thinking about CPM for a long time and I would like to give it a try. Now say according my awstat I get 1000 page impressions/day (not unique) and I suppose to get 4$ rate for CPM, would I get 4$/day. Even if they are not unique page impressions, and does awstat is a reliable method for CPM check?

yes. your maths are correct. at a rate of $4 CPM and you show 1000 PAYING impressions, you will get $4.

however (and this is a BIG however)....not every impressions will be a paying one :

    - some may be from countries that are unproductive (commonly ones outside US/UK/CAN/AU/EU).
    - if your visitors see a large amount of pages per session the network may run out of ads to show to that viewer.

so, you may only end up with 70% paying ads (or any % between 0% and 100% full)
