^ see? It helped me as well. I think just the way you have to express yourself at all times, the way you read just the every day usage on the boards, if you are careful and do not pick up the bad and wrong.

Molona, cool thanks. Only was going by what I found in a certain thread, where natives used that word. Much appreciated though. )

^ can't translate devbanana's signature. It reads "meet the banana that likes dancing, eating "the" pizza and dress in pyjamas"(or pajamas, whatever writing one prefers)

    Off Topic:

We also use tutorial from time to time, but it is not a true Spanish word, and it doesn't exist officially (not yet, give it time...). You'll find that Southamericans mix English words even more often than Spaniards do. But everyone will understand what you mean, so no problems there.
But your writing Spanish is quite good. I am just being picky because, for once, I can!

^ is just trying to confuse the poor banana because you're jealous a banana speaks your language.

yeah well..well...I'll move to spain for a few years, get really really good, and then correct you!

And now I must go eat a waffle. And I don't know how to say that either. Do they have waffles in Spain? Someone told me they were gofres.

The word for pancake is cool though...panqueque. who can say that and not smile?

^ likes panqueques... There are no panqueques in Spain, only in Southamerica. We like tortitas, though. They are similar, although not exactly the same.

^ would like to know where to get tortillas.

    Off Topic:

In any major grocery store here in the US. There is a large variety available. Whole grain, white wheat, spinach, roasted tomato. I do something great with them: I take some of the monterey jack cheese with the peppers in it, grate this over the tortilla that I brushed with a little sesame oil, then chop up some fresh cilantro, sprinkle that over the cheese, a few rounds of freshly ground pepper on top. Then I roll them up like a cigar, wrap them in alu foil and put them into the oven, preheated to 375ºF for about 15 min. Unroll the alu while you are eating to keep them partially covered to keep warm.

They are great when you serve them with baked plantains. Those I let ripen until black, for you I guess you have to test with your fingers for give, slit the top open with a very pointed knife, bake them in a 400ºF oven for exactly 18 min, they will puff out and become like a soufflé.

I do love tortillas though. My mother makes quite a few things with them. I'll have to show her what you just wrote; maybe she'll try it sometime.

Tortitas are similar to panqueques, the only difference is that tortitas more spongy because it needs yeast. But that's about it
