Questions on the 3 col layout

First off, I'm talking about the 3 col layout that Paul talks about here. Basically, that was made in Jan 2003, and I has wondering if all the stuff in it is still accurate (it seems to work for me in everything BUT konqueror 3.3.1-4.1...in this, the footer is NOT at the bottom). Anyway, is this old news, and there are newer better ways to do this? Or is this still correct. I just wanted to know BEFORE I deploy it on my site (no offense to the maker...it's REALLY good, and effective).

    Hi,

The above layout is still one of the few that accomplish the tasks set out for it. You may wish to browse this list which may be one of the best lists around (2 of my layouts are included there ):

However there are only a couple of other layouts without using scripting that can do the same job. I don't have konqueror to test on but the main 3 col demo has a fix for safari which gives safari the min-height.

I do have a layout that works on ie5 mac as well which isn't listed but needs to drop down to quirks mode in html 4.01.

If the issue with knoqueror is min-height then one of the fixes here might do.:

Thanks Paul O'B, that's what I wanted. It's really not a big deal that it doesn't work in Konqueror, I'm actually developing for an intranet (all IE, firefox, or Opera, which all work). That was more of an FYI thing.
