You should grade how much you know of that language, I can say a few words on a lot of languages, but I can speak or write and UNDERSTAND on a level from 1 to 5:
1. Portuguese 5 (but not just because it's my native language)
2. English 5
3. Spanish 5
4. Italian 3
5. French 3
6. German 1 (or 0 I donno, but I can count a lot!)

Just joined up today. Super interesting forum!!
Grew up bilingually in German and English. Then I picked up Spanish (univ. and on the job) and Japanese (while living in the country).

Spanish and Catalan are my first languages.
I can also speak English (obviously) and I can understand written Dutch/Italian/Portuguese/French to a certant extent.
And I'm trying to learn some Japanese, tho I don't practice too often and keep forgetting words

grew up with Dutch and got bilingual taught since i was eleven. One of the best things i've done (go to bilingual education).... furthermore reasonable German (especially sprechen), same goes for French (although I don't like that one...) few lessons of spanish, that's about it
