    What control panel are you using with your hosting provider? cPanel comes with Awstats already installed..

    Awstats is a Perl program, very nice open source stats program, we use it on all our windows 2k servers. whats os will you be using it on? if its windows, get active state perl, and unzip the awstats package, edit the config files, and setup a event to run 2 times a day to update / run the perl script.

    I'm running Windows 2003 Server and installed Active Perl v5.8.6 and issume it's working correctly. From a command prompt typing 'perl -v' returns: This is perl, v5.8.6 built for MSWin32-x86-multi-thread

    I've downloaded AWstats, followed the install instructions but I'm not getting anwhere...

    From the command prompt I run
    'awstats.pl -config=scene-OUT -update' (scene-OUT) is my config file name and it outputs the blurb as it's working and that's it. It's supposed to creates a file called awstats.scene-OUT.alldomains.html but I can't find it anywhere.

    Having a look at my config file:
    DirData="."
    which is the default and "." means same directory as awstats.pl - so that's the cgi-bin directory? I've looked and it's not getting written in there.

    I think there are some issue with awstats and 2003. I tried to do the same thing about a year ago with no luck.
