I am testing my php scripts on my windows ME computer with apache/mysql etc from www.nusphere.com installed. It also came with sendmail i think.

Anyway, what is the easiest way to get mail() to work in php. At the moment i get Warning: Failed to Connect in g:\nusphere\nusphere\apache\htdocs\download\start\register.php on line 225 type thing.

    Hi,

Have you made the necessary changes to your php.ini file?
    Look for this section:

    [mail function]
SMTP = (enter your outgoing mail server) ;for win32 only
sendmail_from = (enter your email address) ;for win32 only
;sendmail_path = ;for unix only, may supply arguments as well (default is sendmail -t)

Your outgoing mail server will be of the form: mail.btinternet.com

in your php.ini file, add your ISP's SMTP server in SMTP=

ONLY use this for testing, you don't want your ISP to cut you off for mass mailing.
