I read in a book yesterday that something like this in the <head> section would work:

    <title>My page Title with somekeywords</title>
    <title>lots of keywords</title>
    <title>lots of keywords</title>
    <title>lots of keywords</title>
    <title>lots of keywords</title>
    <title>My page Title with somekeywords</title>

Of course, fill in the terms above with the terms that match your site.

Since I've only seen it in one book, I'm guessing it has to be incorrect, but I thought I'd ask and see if this kind of spiderfood works.

I don't suggest doing that, a quick search with phrase "title tags" on Search Engine Forums revealed for example following thread:

I'm sure I read somewhere that the search engines are wise to this now. It would be too easy really wouldn't it?
