Do you use anything like PHPSmarty or just your own code/functions/variables for PHP ?

I've been rolling my own since day one. Not that there's anything wrong with using tools like Smarty, but I feel like I learn more if it do it myself. That said, I'm starting to feel comfortable enough with my PHP skills that I wouldn't mind using something like this.

I tihnk by phpsmarty, he meant Smarty, the template engine. smarty.php.net
