I am working on a school website, for my school at the mo. It look sok at the moment, but I have a problem. I cant decide what to put in the middle!

Anyway I have links dowen the left nav bar and a number of images linking key areas / chat rooms etc in the right bar. But I can't decide what to put in the center! I don't really wan't to go as far as a open hearted welcome message, because I want it to be clean and functional - what can I do

    Many Thanks RICK

Why don't you use the first page as a brief history of the school?

I think i'll do that, a brief history and then do ads for other sections + a web search on it =@) - red nose face!

Alternatively how about the old classic, a site news page. I always like coming to a site and seeing a nice list of recent updates, or just general news on the front page. If you use a system such as newspro updating this will be a doddle - you could even teach the school principle or whoever how to do it
