I was wondering what SitePoint uses for a news publishing software, also, in your opinion, what is the best news publishing software?

As that link will demonstrate, SitePoint use a proprietry articles / content management system of their own creation. Personally I believe the best content management system is usually the one you write yourself, as it will conform most tightly to your needs. That said, if you want an EXCELLENT news system written in Perl (very customisable) try Newspro from here:

    http://amphibian.gagames.com/newspro/

You can see the script in action on this site:

    www.tfc-central.co.uk

The script does all of the news, and also generates the news archives.

sorry for not posting a new thread, but if i did so, i'm sure that Justing, or BC, would tell me,
" Why do you post everytime about the same thing,blah,blah,blah..............", sorry Skunk

i would like to know how to webistes, put news on their site. I mean not their news, but news around the world!, how is it updated ?, and where could i get a professional news, where the news are updated, and it's host by my site. A script ?, i mean not moreover, or that sort of stuff, but real, and good one, with pictures......

Does Newspro offer different categories? I am going to need all sorts of categories, similar to Site Point.
