Stealing Affiliate Codes

I have read recently there are ways for your affiliate codes to be stolen from your website. I'm not sure how that works, but I have found the following website that offers a free detection service at http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/

Is the best solution for this type of problem?

There's not much you as a website owner can do about software on others' computers. Some people only participate in affiliate programs that do not allow parasiteware manufacturers as affiliates and actively shut down those accounts.

Thanks Dan. I am just started an an Amazon Affiliate. So in your opinion, I should just not worry about this type of problem?
