    Idea for "Interstitials"

Would it be possible to create a automatically redirect page that has a comination of cubes, skyscrapers and banners placed on a page that would automatically redirect it to the target page?

    Is that legal? Professional? etc?

Sites like Gamespot.com do somthing like that. I think bigcharts.com also does it. They don't do a collection of ads, but you have to look at one ad for a second before you move on. It's annoying to me, but it must generate a lot of clicks...

well - the users are already used to the interstitials and its not like its hurt my traffic at all. But interstitial rates have gotten soooo low on fastclick I thought this might be a good idea

I think that may be against some term of service somewhere

Have you tried selling out your own Interstitial space?

I have tried interstitials, and had a really bad experience with the visitors and members. Had to pull them down. To be honest, they are as annoying as pops. Pull you can do a work around and do enable Java in order to not view them. It's a really bad service to use, it terms of customer retention and stickiness

well - my visitors have increased since adding them. Not saying that they have increased because I added them, just saying they haven't hurt.

I'm thinking of having it only be displayed for 2-5 seconds max so it won't have much of the annoyance factor.

You cannot place any network CPM banners on an interstitial. The page has to have content.
    mindbluff.com - Optical illusions,
    brain teasers, puzzles, free games,
    riddles and mental tricks.

Not 100% true. Gamespy for one does it all the time. They place a bigger banner (usually 425X600, 700X300, or 300X600) and the rest of the background is black and green (their color scheme). I've also seen it on some other sites/networks also.

You can try midaddle for interstitials, they are pretty new. They had problems with impressions counting but their rates are higher (3.25-5$ CPM).
