    Firefox vs. IE: top issues

A little late, but just starting to test frequently in Firefox. Just wondering, as someone who has primarily designed for IE 6, what the top 5-or-so most frequent issues to look out for between IE6 and Firefox are. Thanks...

Do you code to any kind of standard (HTML 4.01, XHTML 1.0)? If not, you'll find more differences since the two browsers' quirks modes are pretty different. If you do, you'll find more trouble with their differences of opinion in CSS than in HTML.

In that case, then most of the issues you'll run into involve CSS bugs in the two browsers. The XHTML will be solid for the most part. Floats in particular will be likely to give you a lot of grief. There are too many bugs to just come up with a "top 5" unfortunately, since even a "small" problem by somebody else's standards could be huge if it's been frustrating you for a while. Just post new threads here when you run into trouble and others should be able to help out . You might also want to read Position is Everything, which will give a detailed breakdown of most CSS bugs in current browsers like IE and Mozilla.
