    Hi folks!
Ok assume i have a more or less complex MySQL db (lets say 100 entrys).
Now i wanna send a billing email once a month according to the data in the db. I gess php would suite for this job due to the simple mail an sql functions but how can i place the php form on my server without the risk that some stupid user is sending the bills for for me?
Or is there a way to execute an php script without a webserver (apache)?
I'm still quite new to this scene so anything is really appreciated.

You'll need two things: access to the PHP binary interpreter (which you should have) and access to your crontab (which you should have--I assume you're a server admin).

Make a crontab file which runs something every month (read `man cron` for the format) and then put the file name of the PHP script after the path of the PHP binary. Don't put the script in the web root.
