    Hi,

    I find that will all the scripts I download to send email to a mailing list that any line breaks that I enter into the text area do not show in the actaul message in Outlook (not express).

    I haven't tested with Eudora or other clients except Outlook and Outlook Express but I keep getting this error.

    Maybe someone out there can explain why line break would show up. Can you also explain what properties the textarea should have, example, what type or wrap?

    Thank you

    just enter \n immediately after the text.

    What are you trying?

    I have some code to send mail:

    PHP Code:
    //##########email message follows

    $message "Hello $fullname,

    Congratulations on becoming a Mostly Amphigory member!

    This is an automatic email containing some important information.

    Your user name is:
    $username
    Your password is:
    $password

    Please remember this user name and password.
    If you have any problems, contact anyproblems@mostlyamphigory.com

    Visit the Mostly Amphigory website now!
    http://www.mostlyamphigory.com/"
    ;

    //#########email message ends.

    mail($emailaddress"Welcome to the Mostly Amphigory!",

    $message"From:The Mostly Amphigory <info@mostlyamphigory.com>");

      return
    "SUCCESS"
    It seems to work for me.

    PHP lets you have strings that go onto new lines like this.

    If you wanted to put a line break in without actually having a line break in your code, you'd use \n as in:
    "This is one line\nThis is the next line". \n means a line break in most languages.

    Hi,

    I've got a script like that working but still my mailing list script isn't working.

    Does anyone know of a good php/mysql mailing list script?

    Thanx

    Here is an example of a text area which I use to capture an email message. Works fine for me.

    <textarea name="message" cols="55" rows="15" value="" wrap="hard" style="background-color:CCCCFF"></textarea>
