    number 1 on google, but not even top 10 on yahoo/msn

    does anyone have any idea why? i assume the engines must rank differently, and i havent done any SEO so dont really know why im even top of google but still... id like to know your opinions on how i can improve my yahoo/msn ranking.

    Yahoo seems to like keyword density more then Google does. Getting that phrase on your homepage more should help out. Being it is such an specific search terms improving your ranking should be too difficult.

    also depends on the number of sites that yahoo has "connected" with your site. Yahoo shows 14,000 sites when you do a link://site while google only shows 174. They operate and index differently

    How Google shows backlinks is very different from every other search engine and comparing the two numbers is a big mistake by many webmasters as they are completely unrelated. Google has never shown every backlink pointing to a webpage. Plus Google only shows backlinks pointing to one specific webpage, the you type in when doing a link check, not the whole website. Add in that Google considers http://www.site.com and http://www.site.com/index.html two different pages and you can see how different Google displays backlinks.
