Howdo Peoples,

I am hoping some of you can enlighten me before I lose *ALL* of my hair. On my website I am trying to hightlight PHP and HTML codings that I include in articles within a yellow box, which I am creating via enclosing it within a <div id="codebox"> .... </div>.

The CSS for this looks like

div#codebox {
  width: 500px;
  padding: 5px;
  border: solid 1px black;
  background-color: #f9fac9;
  font: normal 10px "Courier New", monospace;
  white-space: nowrap;
  overflow: auto;
  margin: 0px !important;
This looks exactly how I want it when viewed with Firefox.... however in IE it seems to push the fixed width design out to the right. From editing the CSS it seems to be the "width" element which is causing the problem, but I need this for the "white-space: nowrap" declaration to work properly.

An example of the problem can be found here --> Again, the problem only seems to be happening in IE, not in Firfox.

Any help greatly appreciated.
