    Local Search Engine Results

Google and Yahoo have local search engine results, right? How do you get listed in the local results? I hear the new msn search engine has a feature called "near me" that is the same idea. How do you get listed in these results? Is it the same way as the regular serps, where link popularity and keywords is the basis?

I think the geographic location of your web host is taken into consideration. Web sites that are hosted near the searching person's geographic location rank higher.

What you can do to rank better is have your site hosted near the location where your target group of visitors lives.

It seems like it would be better if it worked a different way. Many webmasters choose hosts that are nowhere near thier location.
