Are your competitors using link farms?

Have you ever stumbled on a site in your target area that seems to have 'too high' of a ranking?

Considering that dozens/hundreds of low PR links may not appear in a back link check, is this a possible symptom of a site using a link farm?

If not, is there a way to check if it is?

There are dozens of "cheating" ways to get a higher Alexa Ranking. One of them could be the use of Auto hit programms. you get more hits and visitors, your Alexa ranking goes up but its "fake"traffic.
