I know it is sometimes easier said than done but I agree 100% with this. I work as a full-time designer/developer. Currently, I have 14 projects that I'm working on. There is no way that my mind can be fresh enough to handle all of them without making the time to enjoy the things that I enjoy to do.

One thing to help is by making work blocks. At the beginning of the week take time, first thing in the morning, to make a bullet point list of the projects you need to work on. As sub points in each main bullet put the tasks that need to be completed on that project. Secondly, have a file setup in Word that has 4 blocks to a page. In each of those blocks put a day(date). Take the bullet-point list and block it out within those days. Be sure to leave time for troubleshooting, client support, changes, brainfarts, etc. Also, be sure to leave time to enjoy your life!!! What's the point of working so much if you don't take time to enjoy anything??

BTW--> Got Halo2... Amazing!!! I love it! Halo is the one game that my wife actually loves to play with me!!

My wife hates playing Halo with me. That's only 'cause she hasn't learned how to pistol-whip people

What would be a good name for a SitePoint Forums clan? SitePoint? SitePointForums?

In related news, here's two Halo 2 clans for dev guys:

    DEV Flood
    MastersOfDotNet
    the yetis

Add more if you know of them.

I bought the game over the weekend and I *love* it! Actually, I love the XBox Live play. I've played more of that than the actual game.

And thanks, JimBolla, for the Bungie stats link. I had no idea that existed. Now I can finally figure out what the heck those medals are for and can brag about games I did well in and back the boast up with links to the stats for each game. Cool stuff!

Bought the game.... beat it in 2 days.... gave it to a friend till he gets his own copy.

All in all its a great game I was disappointed by the shortness of the campaign but the quality was definatly there. Lots of excitment and challenge. Love fighting side by side with the elites, and the covenent cities were amazing.

Now I wait for Halo 3 *sigh*

I also got it. I am severly disappointed. With live especially because it's interface blows and it's hard to get into a game you want to play (I am so sick of 1 flag CTF) . Also I wish they kept Blood Gulch they made it look cooler but it isn't funner I'd really rather just play Halo multiplayer than play it on Halo 2 .

The number 1 issue Bungie's working on is the matchmaking system. That said, there's nothing to stop you from playing a random match, then adding 5 people to your friends list. After a night of that you should have 50-100 friends (like I do now), and trust me you'll always have a fun game to play with cool people without any wait times.

They just announced an autoupdate to take care of the long delay in the matchmaking system. Now more n00b's can be pwnD! God I hate those words.

Yep. Wait times are now less than a minute. Just about right for grabbing a drink. Instead of being just about write for milking a cow.

Yeah your right about the friends thing I have enough friends after a few nights to almost always pick up a 16 player game .

I hate the XBOX. I dislike their crappy controllers, the entire setup, whatever. I only recently had to start playing with some of my mates from college, and, to my suprise, ended up really liking the multiplayer. While this isn't a game I would get into by myself (single player doesn't suit my liking), multiplayer is pretty good. It's no GoldenEye, but it's still fun. Especially getting huge games together across a network.

Got it the day it came out over here - brilliant game, and Live is excellent.

But I've got Half-Life 2 competing for my playing time now heh.

You should check out the new S controllers - they are really nice.

I've been playing on those and the big brick. The S variant is better than the brick, but I still don't really like it. But then I'm convinced that the GameCube's controller is a better controller (you have to admit that it feels fantastic in your hands).

Favourite controller ever was the N64 controller. The Gamecube controller is similar. These days, though, I love the XBox controller because, somehow, it doesn't feel like I'm holding anything, and I've NEVER gotten sore, even after 4-6 hours with friends (not that that happens often, but still).

The big controller or the S controller? I love the big controller (have 4 of them at home). The XBox controller reminds me of the Dreamcast controller, which I wasn't too fond of but the XBox seems better for some reason. You're right though; the N64 controller rocked. I loved the trigger button

So what controler settings do yall play on?
    My friend likes the standard
but my other friend plays ?Boxer style?
I dunno but he says he likes it better.

I always play consoles with inverted thumbstick I dont know what it is but my thumb somehow knows whats best and I therefore choose it. For computer I play normal, except flying, thats inverted.
